About Office Productivity Training, LLC

Office Productivity Training was started by Debra Lassman and Gina Niebrugge in July 2017. Both women previously worked as computer training instructors and program development specialists for the Selsius Corporate and Career Training business development center at Southwestern Illinois College.  The Selsius department at SWIC was phased out in the summer of 2017 due to the State of Illinois budget crisis. Seeing an opportunity to continue providing Microsoft Office training and assisting area organizations with software training plan management and consulting, Lassman and Niebrugge joined forces to form Office Productivity Training (OPT).     

 Office Productivity Training, LLC in Belleville, IL serves the metro St. Louis area. 

  Debra Lassman brings more than 20 years training experience to the OPT team. In addition to being a skilled instructor and facilitator, Lassman was the Selsius™ lead technology curriculum developer at Selsius Corporate and Career Training at Southwestern Illinois College. She was also an adjunct faculty member for the SWIC Business Division and Adult Basic Education department.
 

Lassman's training expertise is in Microsoft Office, Windows, Adobe Acrobat Pro and professional development, such as leadership and team building. She has worked as an instructor in both large and small organizations. Prior to joining Selsius™ in 1994, she worked as an independent training contractor for several law firms and banks, gaining valuable real world experience, which she brings to her classroom. Lassman is a Microsoft Certified application specialist and a DDI certified professional development training facilitator. She holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from Rockhurst University in Kansas City. 

Gina Niebrugge also brings more than 20 years of training and industry experience to OPT. She is a talented computer software trainer with extensive experience in instructional design, technical writing, and training coordination.
 

Her previous department duties at Selsius Corporate and Career Training at Southwestern Illinois College included the development and maintenance of content on the website and support for marketing efforts including email marketing, direct mail, and social media. She was also involved in instructional design for customized client programs, including custom training video development. Her computer training specialties are the Microsoft Office Suite, including Visio, Project, and InfoPath; Adobe Acrobat Professional, and web development software including WordPress, Microsoft Expression Web and Adobe's Dreamweaver. Prior to joining Selsius™, Niebrugge held a similar position for more than four years at Lake Land College in Mattoon, IL. Previously, she worked as an onsite trainer and PC training administrator for Caterpillar for ValCom Computer Learning Center in Decatur, IL, a technical writer, educator, and systems advisor for Professionals' Software Inc. in Effingham, IL.
 

Niebrugge earned a Bachelor of Arts in speech communication from Eastern Illinois University and has completed graduate work in workforce development. She is a Microsoft Certified application specialist.
